●Crazy Horse Ranch●A guest cabin high in the Colorado Rockies, on the edge of the West Elk Wilderness in the Gunnison National Forest
Welcome to the Crazy Horse Ranch Home Page. Our vacation cabin is located
at an elevation of 8,450 feet in Big Soap Park in the West Elk Mountains of
western Colorado, nestled among blue spruce and fir trees, feet from West Soap Creek.
The cabin sits on forty acres abutting the West Elk wilderness area, and is not
far from the Gunnison River and Blue Mesa Reservoir. While based from our
cabin you can enjoy big game hunting, fishing, horseback riding, snowmobiling
and snowshoeing, and just relaxing. The area features exceptional
natural beauty, including mountains to over 12,000 feet and plenty of game
animals, so our cabin is also an excellent base of operations for outdoor
photography. Best of all, our cabin is located in a secluded area at the
end of a rough
Crazy Horse Ranch is open for use by guests driving wheeled vehicles equipped with four wheel drive from approximately Memorial Day through the second week of November, depending upon snowfall. For guests using snowmobiles, the cabin is accessible from late November through April.
